You Can't Fight the Dragon Until You Can See it!

Great News!

I finished editing my novel last week. As you may recall, I committed myself to editing just 15 pages a day. My goal was to be finished by December 1st. Guess what? I finished my first clean up edit in record time, about a week before Thanksgiving.

My next step will be cutting. This beast plops in a 656 typewritten pages, properly formatted, in 32 chapters. That might be acceptable for an established writer. But hey! This is good old boring me! But that will take just a few hours.… Continue

Obama Coat Tails More Like A Halter Top

The Gantt Report
By Lucius Gantt
United States President Barack Obama spent a considerable amount of time traveling across America trying to drum up votes and support for Democratic candidates seeking victories in the recent 2009 elections.
Obama is given credit for a record-breaking voter turnout in 2008 however his 2009 “coat tails” seemed to be more like a halter top, short and revealing!

The Blood Protects Me from What I really Deserve.....

Just stopping By To Give JESUS

Recognition For Spilling HIS Precious, Innocent, Rich Blood For ME.

Realizing......If I would have GOTTEN what the Scriptures said I earned,
I would have been stoned years ago.
If LAW superseded Mercy.....
We would All Be in trouble;
But the BLOOD;

Jesus's Willingly Entered The Sacrifice for MY Sins; Even the Ones that I haven't Committed yet.

Thank YOU JESUS....Thank YOU JESUS....and FATHER of ALL LIVING THINGS......
I Salute YOU; Creator… Continue

Small Bites

I have been making progress on finishing the first clean up edit of my novel.

At the last meeting, Barbara Jo suggested that I stop trying to do so much at once. She was right. For months I have lugged a 450 page manuscript around, working on it when I can. It's intimidating. So on October 30th, I divided it up into 15 page increments. All I'm responsible for are 15 pages per day. That's all. If I do more, then fine. But if not, then as long as I do my 15 pages, then I will be fine. And I have… Continue

Positively Positive

Some people are just naturally pissed off. I've never understood why.

Has my life has been too easy? No, I grew up in a New York City slum and had to fight all the time. Am I a Pollyanna? No. I see all the ugliness in the world around me. Am I too lazy, too disengaged? No. I am a 48 year old state worker in a low paying job. But to get there, I've endured 7 bouts of unemployment, worked as a teacher, started small businesses, watched them go under, been attacked, been depressed, you name i… Continue
